Heres what CricBuzz says about him.
However, he was expensive and was not preferred again. Good show in 2011 forced the selectors to name in the squad for home series against England the same year but he did not get a game.
He was injured soon after and was not able to participate in the 2012 IPL. Injury concerns kept him out of the side for the next few years although he toiled hard in the domestic circuit and has been a major part of the Karnataka Ranji team. He played a crucial role in their successful Ranji Trophy campaign in 2014-2015.
When Adam Milne was ruled out of the 2015 IPL, Aravind replaced him in the RCB team. Aravind was selected in the team for RCB's home game against KXIP and was fantastic in the match. He picked up 4 wickets for 27 runs, thoroughly crippling the KXIP middle order.
Heres what ESPNcricinfo says about him.
Sreenath Aravind was part of a Karnataka squad that established itself as a powerhouse in domestic cricket by completing a double-treble, winning the Ranji Trophy, the Irani Cup and the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2013-14 and in 2014-15. Karnataka built their team around pace and Aravind's impact as a steady left-arm seamer - and occasionally a left-arm spinner - helped their rise.
With Mitchell Johnson, Mitchell Starc and Trent Boult bringing left-arm pace front and center in the years leading up to the 2015 World Cup, and with India struggling to fill the void left behind by Zaheer Khan, Aravind was handed his first India cap in a T20I against South Africa in 2015. Earlier, he had been in line to make his ODI debut in 2011, but a knee injury prevented him from playing.
His first-class career could have ended before it began. Aravind met with a road accident prior to his first-class debut in 2008. Although he has played over 100 matches across formats in domestic cricket since then, consistency has been a problem. For example, he claimed 54 wickets across formats in the 2014-15 domestic season, but he had only 29 wickets in three seasons (he bowled only three overs in 2012 though) leading up to that. Aravind has a first-class fifty to his name as well, and has played three seasons of the IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
