Heres what CricBuzz says about him.
However, as he grew older, life was not the same as it was during his under-19 days. He made his first-class debut during the 2007-08 season and impressed everyone with some accurate fast bowling.
In fact, he was also picked up by Delhi Daredevils for three years before Kolkata Knight Riders roped him into their squad in 2011. However, the left-armer not only lost his bowling form, but also got into controversy. He tested positive during a random dope Test conducted during the 2013 IPL and was slapped with a 15-month ban by the BCCI from all forms of cricket, meaning he had to stay away from competitive cricket until November 5, 2014.
Back after serving the ban, Sangwan tried to ressurect his tainted career and he tasted success straightaway as he picked up 32 wickets in the 2015-16 Ranji season. This got Gujarat Lions interested and they picked him for IPL 2016. But he featured in only 2 and 5 games respectively in 2016 and 2017 IPL.
But a fine season with the white ball during Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in early 2018 ensured Sangwan was on the radar of a few IPL teams. Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians got into a tussle for the left-arm speedster and eventually it was Mumbai who got his services for 1.5 crores INR.
Heres what ESPNcricinfo says about him.
A left-arm medium-pace bowler like his idol Wasim Akram, Pradeep Sangwan made his first-class debut for Delhi in the 2007-08 Ranji Trophy and took 33 wickets at an average of 19.24. His performances won him a berth in India's squad for the Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia, where he impressed with eight wickets in India's successful campaign, including a spell of 5 for 44 that routed South Africa during the group stages. Not yet 18, Sangwan earned a contract with Delhi Daredevils, and played 28 matches for them in the first three IPL seasons, before moving to Kolkata Knight Riders.
Sangwan's first-class form, however, was flagging and he averaged over 30 with the ball - and as much as 41 in 2009-10 - in four of the next five Ranji seasons. Worse was to come when he tested positive for stanozolol, a prohibited steroid, following a dope test conducted during the 2013 IPL season. He was banned for 18 months, and returned to action towards the end of the 2014-15 Ranji Trophy.
Playing regularly once again, Sangwan picked up 32 wickets for Delhi in the 2015-16 season. It was his best haul since his debut season, and it prompted Gujarat Lions to sign him up for INR 20 lakhs at the 2016 IPL auction.
